abc_main.jpg
Authentic Belgian Creativity was promoted in Milan’s Zona Tortona by the likes of Bram Boo who showcased his new line of furniture called Homeland and Buzzispace, a company that uses recycled plastics in room dividers, lampshades and memo boards. Jaga had very sleek and cheery radiators on display, the anti-Heatwaves, as it were, and there were some great pieces by Katrien Van Hulle of Colect.

+ Lovegrove & Repucci are launching the new London Delft series of porcelain dinnerware. The five-piece settings bring the London streets to the table in an unusual, yet traditional, manner.

+ We are looking forward to seeing Bev Hisey’s new hand-knotted rugs at ICFF. The rugs are inspired by oil paintings her grandmother did in the 1950s and are as effective as wallhangings as floorcoverings.

+ This origami-inspired dish by Rachel Young called Fold is a polypropylene fruit bowl (or centerpiece for dry articles) that has been carefully hand-folded.

Reflections On My Grandmother

nonesiste_grandmother_table.jpg
Romolo Stanco showed pieces from the new Reflections On My Grandmother collection from Nonesiste in Zona Tortona’s Nhow Hotel. Grandmother is a very simple glass table that combines new technologies with baroque lace decoration. Killthequeen is a mirror that focuses on continuous geometric lines, and the Quelcheresta lighting shows “what remains” – the section of the lighting when the lamp shape is removed. The Gulp and DinDon chairs are after the jump.
