Sublime American Design
by Admin1 / February 13, 2004

Retail store dedicated to American modern contemporary design. Located in Lower Manhattan, Sublime American Design opened its doors late in 2003. Conceived as a showcase for the next generation of American designers, the store includes pieces by “the celebrated, the on-the-verge, and the known-to-cognoscenti-but-yet-to-be-discovered-by-the-wider-public”. Such as, Ladislav Czernek’s curved raw poplar Sit Bed, Stew Design’s Strata Chair sculpted out of 64 sheets of plywood, Jeff Miller’s Diepurr Chair, Glide’s TwistTogether Lamp, Tobias Wong’s Puzzle Mirror and Garth Miller’s astroturf Modern Tradition rug.
