Vancouver-based Some's website says it best - "2.4 is a comfortable cast resin lounge chair with a stainless steel skeleton. Structurally speaking, 2.4 is a hybrid system: tension forces are transferred through the stainless steel skeleton; compression forces are transferred through the cast resin shape. 2.4 chairs are cast sequentially in layers. An endless variety of opaque and transparent color combinations is possible. Layer compositions are inspired by color samples selected by each patron; thus, each 2.4 chair commissioned is unique.". Some also makes a unique two-layer "dismountable" storage system called 1.1.
