Congrats to architect Gregory La Vardera, his Tray House, one of many MoCo designs in his Modern House Plan Collection, is well on its way to completion. Gregory writes, "Up on a wooded hill overlooking a mountain lake in Lake Lure, North Carolina an unusual house is taking shape. Not like the familiar traditional houses you are accustomed to seeing in this kind of planned development. In place of romantic gables there is an angular roof with a deep overhang. Modern bay windows stand in for their quaint romantic forbearers.". La Vardera's LaMiDesign seeks to bring "modern design options to areas of the market where demand for modern style homes is unserved.". Which appears to be 99% of the market right now. I'm looking forward to seeing more of the built LaMiDesign.
