Born Design makes the Slimmy chair, a lightweight chair that folds flat inspired by Japanese origami. Part of their TAKEOFF Collection featuring “modern furniture and product design that is ready to go when you are by auto, train, or plane. Slimmy is made from a single sheet of material, a composite of PVC an aluminum which has a long term durability for indoor or outdoor use.”. Designed by Frederic Debackere.

I understand how it goes up, what keeps it up, why doesn't it collapse back down if it gets slightly off center?
