ALBA
by Harry / March 19, 2007

Furni's got a new wood and acrylic LED clock called ALBA. It's a last minute addition to their spring 2007 lineup and "is the epitome of good things coming in 'small packages' and 'last but not least' all rolled up in one.". More after the jump. I met furni principals Devin and Mike at IDS '07 (see below right) last month and we had a good chat. I got a better idea of what they're about and where they're going. It's an interesting mix of culture, craftsmanship, minimalist design and materials. More later.

I don't think that this clock is interesting, just something from the crowd.

What is it with the outspoken minimalist trend? I can't wait until we pass neo-modernism.

It's a generational thing, there's a whole cohort that lurvs ALBA.

That's the clock I threw out about 30 years ago!

Can anyone tell why this object deserves to exit? Aren't there enough boring designs all around us!

designers!!!

Make an effort!!!!!!

It does have a fresher look. It is unfortunate it had to be so large.

I really am into this clean modern style. If you want buttons and mp3 player slots and.... stuck onto your clock there are plenty of those too. This is really simple, but why is that a bad thing?
