Milan 2007: Topoware
by Harry / April 25, 2007

More from Architecturalmeg, Topoware by Karola Torkos and Alexandra Deschamps-Sonsino, tableware with a topographic theme and a message. "This set, made of bowls, salad plates and dinner plates see the lines reappear in playful ways to label your dining habits. Each piece addresses a different issue or poses a different question. Are you hungry, very hungry or done? Are you modest or greedy? Do you have a mom/dad or child portion?". See more here on the Topoware Flickr page.

Oh man... these are killer. I especially enjoy the unique placemats.

Hi there,
just a quick request: there has been a spelling mistake of my name on the press CD of the IN/D label. it is Torkos not Tarkos. I would be really happy if you could correct this. Thanks a lot!

Karola, Thx for the note, it's fixed!

this tableware collection is very beautiful...i liked the lines that disrupt the usual roundness of the plates:)....

Can I purchase these anywhere???

They didn't push this idea far enough. It would be a lot more compelling if the dishes were irregularly shaped, like topography, so the lines actually meant something; true topo lines on a circular dish like this would just be horizontal circles.
