ICFF started off the week and dominated it. There was a lot of think different; Mark McKenna's Betty Lou lit up the stemware, Tracy Kendall had clearly sewn up wallcoverings, the spent Maurer-Arad tu-be tubes, Visual Reference's thermosensitive Touch wall tempted us to press up against it and Castor's gnawed Limestone stool surely broke a tooth, or two. Oh, and, you didn't like the show.

+ New Design Canada came out of the cold with wallpaper dotted with tiny golden skulls and pixelated mirror frames.

+ This Week from Tokyo brought us the power bar tower with revolving sections.
+ Ingo Maurer's show was one of the best off-site exhibitions in NY, especially if you like rats and snakes.
+ Visual Reference Studio was the most hands-on exhibitor at the Javits Center.
+ Work at ICFF ranged from updated globes (who says water has to be blue?) to an emergency stool.
+ Wry & Ginger was Meatpacking's Jack on the rocks for a night.
+ Lia Cook’s woven photos loomed large at This Week at Art MoCo.
