More from London Design Week 2008
by sabine7 / October 27, 2008

We saw such an array of products, lighting and furniture at 100% Design London that it is hard to keep track of everything, but certainly there were some items that stick out, such as the craftsmanship and technology involved in the rapid manufacturing of the pieces from Eden Ceramics. The hosepipe lighting by Sander Bokkinga for bok. made a lasting impression because the use of the ordinary seemed like an obvious extension of the primary usage. The Oval Series from Synthesis Studio made use of recycled rubber from truck tires, and shelving from Creosa Interiors seemed to defy gravity. Monica Correia's Ventosa bowls and vases were subtly elegant, while designs from Jonas Wagell were unabashedly bold.
