Pinxo by Ferran Lajara
by Harry / December 11, 2008

Sometimes life is simple. Pinxo is a wooden clothespin with a hook on one side. It's Ferran Lajara's attempt "to make visible the invisible. The peg belongs to a category of objects (everyday object) that become invisible to our eyes because we get used to see them all the time. However by changing its shape gets our attention again. This formal change gives it an extra function allowing us to use it in many other ways.".

The beauty is in simplicity

This is the best object I've seen in quite a while. So simple, so understated, so inexpensive to produce, just fabulous. As David said - keep on!

Great idea! It's amazing how useful such a simple thing could be.

Thanks for the feedback!
