A new name in design has just come into being: SKITSCH, headed by Renato Preti. This new brand of design objects will include furniture and accessories from a wide range of designers such as Maarten Baas, Kiki Van Eijk, Joost Van Bleiswijk, Minale-Maeda, Philippe Nigro, Van Eijk & Van der Lubbe, the Campana Brothers, Front, Marc Sadler and Bertjan Pot, to name just a few of the 24 designers who have created over 50 eclectic projects for the line under the artistic supervision of Christina Morozzi. SKITSCH will be launched during the Salone del Mobile with the opening of a flagship store in the heart of Milan. Here we preview the Scissor carpet by Kiki Van Eijk and some Haphazard Harmony by Maarten Baas after the jump.
From Skitch:
SKITSCH will debut at the next Salone del Mobile, Milan Furniture Week, with a great event to celebrate both the launch of the brand and the opening of its first flagship store: 600 square metres and 13 windows, in the heart of Milan, in Via Monte di Pietà 11 (on the corner of Via Fratelli Gabba).
The first collection will offer more than 50 new design projects created by 24 of the most well known designers on the international design scene, and some of the most interesting emerging ones, under the artistic supervision of Cristina Morozzi.
Completing the collection, a careful selection of existing pieces by renowned designers from the most interesting Italian and international design companies who work in line with the philosophy of SKITSCH.
The choice of the name SKITSCH fully expresses the philosophy of the brand: to offer a selection of non ordinary, high quality and great design products directly to the final client.

Haphazard Harmony by Martin Baas
From Studio Maarten Baas:
A full range of tableware, in porcelain, based on intuitive little sketches. The master model of every single plate, every cup, every saucer is shaped by hand, in foam, after which moulds are made for the porcelain pieces. Instead of using a computer, and strive for "smooth lines", "logical shapes" and "slick designs", Maarten Baas makes pieces in which the personality and spontaneity of the maker can still be seen and felt. The Haphazard Harmony creates an atmosphere with characters, which are family of each other, but per set are all unique.
It's an haphazard collection, yet they're all in harmony with each other...

It all looks very funky and quirky. I like the blue rug!
Is there any corporate contact information for this group? I would love to send them my resume to assist with expansion to the US market.
