Ohrensessel by Hannes Grebin
Comfort and aesthetics are turned on their heads when Hannes Grebin deconstructs the notion of couch and wingback chair. Grebin replaces the traditional overstuffed living room suite with furniture that is all angles, tarted up with fringe and doilies to remind the user of the antecedents. The Spieer Sofa is a sprawling four metres in length, and Ohrensessel is an armchair that appears to reach out for the user. Grebin's Perser carpet also mirrors the play on shapes and angles that are married to traditional textiles.

this is awesome. humorous and literally edgy, cozy but not cozy. I like the way the surfaces work together, almost sculptural. a really "beautiful" design, would like to see more.
yes, that is absolute awesome. i like the contrast between the modern edge design and the pattern of the textile. a version with metallic textile would look very spacey. nice !
