Human Measures by Digna Kosse
We are what we eat, and then some, and Digna Kosse confirms this with a 25-piece set of tableware that reflects the volume of her body.
Kosse uses the human body as a scale of measurement to remind us that we are eating out of proportion to both the planet and our own bodies. Using water, Kosse determined the volume of various body parts in litres and then translated this into dishes and bowls of varying sizes.

The largest dish corresponds to the volume of her torso, and the tiniest plate is based on her smallest toe. The different colours of the dishes are colour-coded to different parts of the body.








Gosh , I love the simplicity of these bowls - they are beautiful to look at and are bone china, so they would be beautiful to use too.
