Designer Dan Golden has created a collection of carpet designs inspired by popular pharmaceutical pills.

CALM, above, based on an anti-anxiety medication (Paxil?) is the first rug produced in the collection. It will be followed up shortly with RISE, based on a popular erectile-dysfunction medication that starts with the letter "V".

"The pervasiveness of pills in our world in particular pushed Dan to add humor to a somewhat controversial topic - the overmedication of America. There was something slightly subversive in the use of these shapes to create patterns that can ostensibly look very classic or very minimal and modern."
