Inspired by Brutalist architecture, Benjamin Hubert's new shelving system for Heals, Foundation, is made of Valchromat with steel box files that are pulled out with leather tabs.

The Brutalist influence is felt in the contrast between the tactile nature of the soft and smooth materials and the industrial aspect of the shelving.

Valchromat is wood fibre board that has been coloured with organic dyes and bonded with resin to keep the natural appearance of the fibre.

The wood in the Valchromat is sourced from forest waste and recycled pine.

Foundation was created as part of a project Heal's launched in celebration of its 200th anniversary.
