Over 700 examples of work by Tim Burton, director and concept artist for live-action and animated films, as well as artist, illustrator, photographer, and writer, are featured in a five-month long retrospective at the Museum of Modern Art in New York before moving on to Melbourne and then Toronto. Work on display includes sketchbooks, drawings, paintings, concept art, photos, films and sculptures. A film retrospective that includes both films by Burton and those that served as inspiration will also be featured.
